Interesting museum about the history of Sarawak and how the different dialect groups settled here. There was no staff manning the museum. However, the explanations were all in English and rather informative. The entire museum can be covered in about 30 minutes to an hour.

Cozy little museum displaying the history of chinese in Kuching, and the many different subgroups of the chinese race. Interesting displays, please be generous and leave a tip in the tip box.

excellent history of the Chinese here in Borneo. A must visit if you are interested in Chinese history and how they have contributed & settled into the Sarawak community.

Interesting (little) museum. Very logical flow: starts with where the Chinese came from. Next are bio's of the early community leaders and a complete section dedicated to the different Chinese communities in Sarawak. There were some I had never heard of! Then a small section on Chinese political leaders. The rest of the museum is about Chinese culture: starting with education, Chinese music (one can chose instruments for descriptions and short audio), religion and festivals. There is a small display of jars and ceramics. Definitely worthwhile a visit!

Good museum, free entrance, lots of information. Tells the story of the Chinese immigration into Sarawak. I liked the last section best with info on cultural traditions - arts, religion, festivals etc. None of the sound buttons were working, and the middle section with biographies of important figures is incredibly dry, but overall the museum is interesting and valuable. Worthy visiting definitely.
