  Went to Stadium Merdeka for One Republic’s concert. The stadium still looks good after all these years and gives off a heritage vibe, it is clean but efforts should be made to improve while preserve the look of the stadium.

  Terribly run down. And the MRT stop is 15mins walk away from the actual stadium entrance where the Monorail is (coz the one at the MRT is closed). Which is just stupidly inconvenient. The actual entrance can only be accessed via a horrid dirty open air staircase with touts and peddlers all around. The place looks worst than a wet market. Like come on, give this place a spruce up and build a proper entrance. Food and drinks are not allowed in the stadium but then when you get in, there's also no F&B sold! Again the idiocy. Sound system is freaking poor. International concerts are held here and can you imagine how the artistes will look at this malaysian landmark? Facepalm.

  They've been renovating this place for 2 maybe 3 years? And it still looks like a relic from the 70's which is ok IF everything is working. Can't believe they can rent it out for concerts when the toilets are not working...no water, one time no lights as in pitch black, the field floods after heavy rain. Also...warning seats are concrete steps or row of plastics chairs on the field. Yes.. your RM 688 - 888 VVIP n VIP seats are rows of plastic chairs on a flat field. Open air stadium - only a small segment has a roof covering..check the map.

  Watch Jay Chou 2018 Concert. All clean and tidy except toilets did not improve. Female only got 5 toilets near below the VIP seats. Organiser set the toilet far outside. So inconvenient for attendees to walk out of Entrance gate.

  There are two entrance. One is in front monorail maharajalela station. And the other entrance need to reach with car or other personal transport. If you are going for concert or other events here, please make sure which entrance is nearer for your ticket zone before the grab or uber drop you off or else you need to sweat to walk to another entrance. Quite far though.
