::Very good Salon in the BSC mall. Reasonably priced and very good service.

::My hair salon for the past 8 years. Friendly service and my hairdresser Jimy is great. Does a great job and doesn't talk too much. The people who wash your hair can be hit & miss and i think it would be a great idea to teach them to say at least 'good afternoon' and 'I will now wash your hair' instead of just walking up to you and start pouring water and shampoo on you. Just saying.

::Brought my kids for haircut here a few times. Both my eldest son (since he was 1 year old, he is now 4) and his little brother. I had a very pleasant experience initially with the ladies (cant remember their name) who cut my eldest son's hair who had been very patient with him squarming crying and screaming. They even gave a private room for my son because he was crying too loud. But the recent two experiences with his 18mths old little brother haircut were nothing but disasters. His little brother, in comparison to his older brother is definitely more behaved. These times, it was a younger male hairdresser who was in charged and he did a blotchy job left my son with almost 2 bald patches. He just did a simple straight front cut (which i can do myself at home). And he was very impatient keep cutting and cutting regardless the baby was moving or nearly fell off the chair (i hope he atleast wait until the baby sit a little bit more still). I left feeling dissappointed. For rm45? Not worth it. I will certainly come here again in the future but next time i will make sure to request for a different hairdresser, female hairdresser better.

::I've tried all their levels of hairdressers and they all suck. Like absolutely. My most recent encounter was with Edwin, a senior stylist and he styled my hair worse than an orang utan. The ignorant gwailos who come here are probably satisfied with that sort of hairstyle hence why you don't much complaints on the interwebs. A Cut Above owns their own hair dressing school where high school dropouts go to learn how to cut hair en masse which they then employ at their own establishments below minimum wage to maximize profits. As you might imagine, such a machine would churn out very low quality cuts. And the kicker is that they do so at exorbitant prices. Your neighborhood indian barbershop can give you a better cut for a fraction of the price. In case you didn't notice it already, "A Cut Above" is really a thin veil for "A Cut Your Throat while I give you A Cut Below"
