::Place like no others.. Can feel the jungle vibe even though its in the middle of the city.

::Feels at home. Basaga kuching located in Jalan tebuan is the hotel inside a garden in a city. Surrounded by beautiful garden, the landscape here is amazing. There is a fish pond at one of the dining area outside the cafe. The pool area is a bit small and need some roof to build there. The road aroun the hotel needs to be paved. The staff and the owner are friendly.

::This resort is aging, and poorly maintained. Cleanliness not up to standard, never do maintenance of room, garden is well maintained at the entrance only. Swimming pool is looking fine, but leaf were all over the pool. Shower water pressure is low, water mixer tap is difficult to adjust. Breakfast is simple, nothing much to eat, serve with bread, egg, sausages and fry rice. Not enough workers to handle the resort, workers are a bit laid-back, no supervision. Anywhere the room rate is quite cheap and reasonable, which is a plus point.

::Serene green oasis at the edge of town center Kuching (5min to waterfront with Grab) Does not feel like you are in a city. Relaxed music and bar in the evening. Have not tried the restaurant.

::Casual comfort at its best that is surrounded by shady trees and lush gardens. Affordable decent accommodation that overlook the hotel pool. Breakfasts were good--with eggs to order. We enjoyed the outdoor dining area. This place is close to other restaurants and shops. Brendan, our host, proved to be an excellent source of local knowledge. He arranged tours for us at great prices and was exceedingly helpful. Basaga Holiday Resort is fairly close to Kuching centre. We walked into town on one occasion but it was too hot to walk back. We were advised to download the GRAB app (the Malaysian equivalent of Uber) which was an easy to use form of affordable transport.
