  The staff at the Bail section on the ground floor at the magistrate courts are excellent. Calm, polite and efficient. You could see that they were doing their best despite the pressure. One thing though - would be much better if bailors are able to open accounts at more banks. At present, only special accounts at the PJ State branches of Bank Islam and Public Bank are accepted. That creates problems, especially when one or both might be suffering some problem or another. The courts should also come up with a system that is more efficient than opening a special account to be used as collateral. Opening what is essentially a new savings/fixed deposit account takes significant time. Couldn't something like a Bank Draft and such, with a lien/caveat placed, be more efficient? The onus is on the banks to propose something better.
