::It was my first purchase from TBM. I had been eyeing the Blueair 480i for a long time and I didn't plan to purchase it on a Saturday morning when I was just killing time at BVI and walked into TBM. A young gentleman told me that they were doing a fair upstairs and it's a special price only for this weekend at 2,950 instead of the usual 3,199 (plus one free filter). Trusting his words, I made the purchase without bothering to go up to the fair and check. Today (purchased it yesterday), I happened to walk through BVI and stopped to ask the price. Another sales person quoted 2,800 (difference of 150)! I can understand prices fluctuate, esp if it's a different store but this is from the same TBM at BVI... dishonest sale tactics and I told the guy that you'll only earn my business once. Sharing with everyone, so that you bargain well or avoid TBM. I recommend Toong Heng Electronics at Taman Megah as all the items I've purchased from them are the cheapest compared to other places I've surveyed (they didn't carry Blueair, otherwise I would have bought from them too).

::This appliance store may not be the biggest in the valley but they do stock quite a diverse variety of electronic goods. For less common items like dehumidifier, they have 3 major brands like Stadler Form, Firenzzi and Morphy Richards. Airconditioner; you get good brands like Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic and more. You can't get ALL these under one roof from Aeon, Harvey Norman, or Best Denki. I particularly like TBM's customer service. They were approachable when needed and gave me space for browsing comfortably. Very easy to deal with and transaction gets done with no frills. This is far in comparison with say, Aeon Mid Valley — poor or no service with staff who are hard to get to (you see idling staff who chat amongst themselves) and worse, delivery is slow, installation and assembly are usually not provided. Aeon, why sell electronics when you can't provide decent service. What usually makes me uncomfortable are personnel who bug me or bombard me with too much information when what I really need is browsing in private until I need them, and only then they can be approached for assistance.
