::Tian Hou temple is located on the 3rd floor of Heng Ann Association (Persatuan Heng Ann Melaka) @ No. 98 Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho. The association and the temple was founded by the Honourable Datu Tan Cheng Swee (1920-2012) and opened on May 6, 1972. This temple is in honor of Tian Hou, best known as Mazu, the goddess and patroness of the sea. She is widely worshiped in southern China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Zhejiang, Fuijian, Guangdong and Hainan and believed to protect fisherman and sailors. From the temple floor you get a nice view of the surroundings so it is well worth a visit. They have a lift to people who are not so body able. Opening hours: 9am to 5pm. They have medium on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and every 1st day of the Lunar month at 9.15pm The primary festival is Mazu's birthday on the 23rd day of the 3rd month of the Chinese lunar calendar, it is an important celebration here starting on the eve before, with an array of traditional rituals and cultural performances.
